This photographic series was taken in the Sierra Nevada around Soda Springs, California. The Donner Party, the transcontinental railroad, lumber and sheep operations, and now outdoor recreational activities such as skiing and rock climbing have all left their mark. These pictures are an attempt to document some of the many moods of the mountains. Some of these images were shown at the a.muse Gallery in San Francisco in October 2009.
